BIOGRAPHY

Sara Enger received her M.M. in Piano Performance/Pedagogy from the Hartt School (2008) where she studied with Luiz de Moura Castro. She performs frequently in different venues including solo recitals, weddings, funerals, religious services, accompanying other soloists, benefit concerts, and sing-a-longs. Ms. Enger’s performance experiences vary from being judged “one of the best of chamber groups” at the Hartt School of Music, competing in the Los Angeles International Franz Liszt Competition, to singing in back-up choirs for Mannheim Steamroller and Kenny Rogers.

Sara Enger has taught private piano and voice lessons to students of all ages and abilities. To quote her, “It’s never too late to start…and now is the best time!” Currently Ms. Enger teaches K-12 music at Sun River Valley Schools in Montana. Some of Ms. Enger’s past teaching positions include Miss Porter's School in Farmington Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University, Farmington Valley Arts School, and the YMCA’s Footlights Center for Performing Arts in Hartford Connecticut. While living in Connecticut, Sara Enger frequently performed at the First Church of Christ Congregational Church in West Hartford where she did collaborative or solo work for voice and/or piano, directed the Cherub Choir, and directed the Joyful Ringers handbell choir.

Ms. Enger is a member of Great Falls Symphonic Choir, Music Teachers National Association, American Choral Director's Association, and is a member of the Handbell Musicians of America (Area 10).
